yippee!

we took jack for his 18 month (he's 18 months old, can you believe it!?) check up and he's all good! he's a little short for his age and a little heavy for his age, but he's just fine. our appt. was at 5:40 and we ended up leaving there at 7:15.... i was amazed at how well he behaved himself. they save the shots for the end of the appointment, and by that time he was pretty tired but he only cried for a minute.

dr. shanks did tell us though that he pretty much has asthma and if he keeps having the recurring wheezing episdoes and ER visits then she will put him on something that will control his asthma every day. i hate that, cause he already takes zyrtec every day now. but whatever makes him comfy is okay by us!

looking forward to the weekend... it's been a long, tiring week. last week was super busy and this week i had forgotten about 2 different meetings i had right after school, and mike's had staff development stuff going on, so all week so far we haven't been together from after school until bed time. makes life a little crazy! but this weekend i'll get to see my good friends Geri, Rachel and Carrie! We're going to get to meet little Noah who was just born and Geri is bringing Ben who is only a couple months old. it's rare that we can all get together at one time with kids and schedules and now distance (thanks for moving 100 miles away geri!) but we always pick up where we left off..... another cool thing about the weekend is we're getting another estimate to finish our basement. i'm so excited that we'll be doing that. i'm tired of toys taking over our house! we can move some of them downstairs and there will be a nice, big, safe place for jack to play down there.
