cool rockin' music & the garden

we got a babysitter tonight and saw a cool little show at the fat bean coffee house- a guy mike works with is in this band the straight up high fives- it was nice to hear live music again. we haven't been out to see live music in a long time! good coffee, good music, good times. and we got to sit on a couch! :) babysitter erin said jack was a very good boy for her. yay!

went to the children's garden today at the morton arboretum. very cool place. jack and his buddies had a blast! we'll be going back again very soon, i'm sure. our friends patty and tim were on the team who designed it (they are landscape architects) so it was fun to see them enjoy their creation with christopher (their son who is only 3 days older than jack!) here jack is with his friend ellie (she is one day younger than jack). jack loved this little frog thing that ellie has her hand on. it shot out water. he was soaked... and then decided to go play in t he sand exhibit. he was quite the little mess when we left there, but he had a ton of fun!
