ahh. the weekend.

we had yesterday off for veterans day and it was nice to have that extra day in the weekend!

today i'm having lunch with some girlfriends at my favorite restaurant, J. Alexanders in oak brook. i get together with rachel, carrie and geri every once in a while when our schedules permit. though now we all have little kids and it gets tough to coordinate everyone's schedules... we all met in grad school a few years ago and have kept in touch. i'm looking forward to it. jack and dad are going to chicago to visit grandpa today. jack was very excited to hear this morning that he could go see grandpa and have french fries at lunch.

i'm washing bottles in the dishwasher as we speak. i have a bag packed for the hospital for the baby and me. i did the last of the reorgazing and washing of clothes, bibs and burpcloths yesterday while i was off. i think we are officially ready. other than mike not having any numbers programmed in his new cell phone, but we'll get there.
