summer has officially started...
... and i won't blink, cause it'll be over. taking 2 classes online is kind of kicking my butt. well, actually it'd be fine if i didn't have 2 small kids and a husband kicking my butt as well. as well as having to squeeze in some contract days over the summmer...
so what did i do today? went to a water park! such fun. it's just a small park district water park, and we did not get there until 4:00 because of kids who fall asleep in the car, but then it's cheaper anyway and 3 hours is more than enough time at the park for everyone. jack is still too short to go on the big slides, though he really wanted to. he wanted to last year, but again he was resigned to the 'duck slide' which he still liked and still flew down on his tummy. he was so mature, carefully waiting until the other kids got out of the way at the bottom of the slide before he went down. they have a whole kids area too that he loved and a lazy river he could ride, so he was just fine getting wet. it was about 95 degrees so we were all happy to have the chance to cool off. except charlie. he wasn't too fond of the water. i put him in a little and he just cried. then, we noticed he had his first little tooth poking through his bottom gum! this might explain the random night wakings and general unusual crankiness... so hopefully now that this tooth as popped he'll go back to his regular laid back happy self...
jack went to the dentist today too for the first time. he was such a big boy and cooperated well. he got to pick out a "Cars" toothbrush, which was the highlight of the visit. they also polished his teeth with bubble gum (toothpaste) and painted grape jelly on his teeth (flouride). i was actually surprised at how well he did. i shouldn't be. he always seems to cooperate with doctors.
ok, i've procrastinated enough and bored you all enough with stories about my kiddos. what else is there to talk about these days anyway? they consume my every waking minute these days! :)
p.s. the swingset is officially done- every last little piece! i'll post finished pics of that and the new windows soon.

i took an online class last semester. i'm not a fan. even if i whine when i have to go, i prefer real time.
and guess who is teaching second grade next year?
