big boys.

my boys are getting so big. charlie understands 90% of what we tell him. he'll always say no if he doesn't want whatever it is you are offering him or coercing him to do. when he's supposed to answer yes he just smiles. though he's not saying anything super clearly, you can tell he's trying to say, "what that?" when we're looking at books. or if you say "where's the frog?" he'll grunt and point to the frog. i forgot how cool it is to watch them acquire language. and jack- he's fun to watch acquire vocabulary. i am usually amazed at what he'll tell me about something. jack is very much into finding out what we have on our ipods lately. he'll always ask who brought their ipod in the car. he seems like to mike's collection better, but i think it's because mike's made a playlist just for him.... he's obsessed with this song "Here It Goes Again" by OK Go. (thought jack calls it "here's it goes again"...) we this dance (below) just about everyday. This was one of first times he went crazy when it came on. And you see just how excited Charlie gets at the very end of the video when he pukes on the floor and then rubs it hands in it and shows me. classic case of we were focusing on jack being funny and weren't really watching charlie...

and thanks to catye, who showed jack this you tube video last week, he's been saying all week "Charlie bit me" in a british accent and dying of laughter. Kind of funny cause Charlie laughs too.



and p.s thank goodness for 60 degrees! and 70 tomorrow. we ALL need to get out of the house and get some fresh air...
