yonight, since I am alone in the house (thanks mike!), I am playing around on the 'net (facebook), making a video collage of pictures for my grandparents and reconnected with an old friend from high school (hi hanneke!) who read my blog (cool!) and commented on some things and i thought... i rarely go back and read my blog... so i did. how freaking fun was that! i read somewhere, sometime that there is a service that will bind your blog into a book. after i fix all the typos i noticed (eek, there were too many to count- sorry faithful readers- all 6 of you) i'd like to do that- does any one remember where the link is? briana- i think it might have been you who blogged about it. do share!

anyway- back to my post- i reread my new year post about enjoy. hmm. yes, i needed to reread. summer is supposed to be about relaxing, enjoying, soaking up the sun. the ratio of my relaxing to my chicken-with-its-head-cut-off time is severely off balance. and with that... i'm off to the dunes until monday. no computer, 4 kids, 2 in laws, 2 newlyweds and no a/c (did i also mention i hate sand?) but... i am willing to bet i'll finish the jodi picoult book that has been sitting next to my bed all summer. squeal! i can't wait!

by the way- to prove that i wasn't just playing around on facebook all night, catching up with old friends, and searching out former students, i did manage to pull this off in between! credit for the song goes to ricky scaggs- my uncle dave and aunt sue played this song for my grandparents with a really nice speech. the song is perfect for this kind of event....
