saturday night's alright! :)

for those of you who are keeping me accountable on my new year goals (which is really none of you...) we've successfully kept out saturday night date night every saturday this year!

tonight was no exception! grandma and grandpa came over to watch jack and mike and i went to j. alexander's in oak brook. love that place. we had our usual filet, smashed potatoes and delicious salad. whenever we plan to go there i don't eat all day so i can enjoy myself.... and we have leftovers for tomorrow! those are sometimes even better than the meal itself.

then we went over to the outlet mall in aurora and spent up our gift cards at eddie bauer and gap. we also stopped at the crate and barrel outlet and used a gift card there too. since we had a gift card at j. alexander's and free babysitting, all in all it was a very fun and cheap date!
