tonight was one of those nights...

... that i really appreciate and love living near chicago!

what a beautiful day for strolling around chicago yesterday!

this is one of the reason... we saw these guys play live at grant park (even though we misjudged when they would actually go on stage and missed the beginning)

we met rob at the cumberland L stop and took the train in, met catye and her parents at pf changs, (delicious!) then walked over to grant park and watched Fountain of Wayne and some of Liz Phair. we cabbed it over to cheesecake factory and had dessert then walked down michigan ave to get back to catye's car. she drove us back to the L and then we all went home. it was fun night and the weather was picture perfect.

on a different note- i am pretty sure we're not getting THAT house that i've previously shared. they didn't like our counter offer, and what they are willing to go to for their lowest price is still too high for what we think it is worth. and i think even their realtor agrees with us, but the owners won't budge. for now. maybe once the market gets even worse they'll consider us! oh well. life goes on.
