comcast blows.

i told everyone how much we loved wideopenwest, our former cable/internet/phone provider. they rocked. never had any problems with installation, set up, service calls, service, billing... nothing.
our new house is not serviced by wow, only by comcast. we have no choice. and this choice blows.
the short story is that i've probably spent at least 10 hours on the phone and mike just as many trying to get our installation (2 visits) figured out and we still don't have our old number, which they promised they would have for us. in fact, we found out last night that they still have not requested the old number from wow, even though they've told us twice that they have requested it.
that's the short story. i really won't bore you with the rest of it. but let's just say that we see dish or directv or something like that in our future if comcast keeps jackin' us around like this!

he he. i kind of used my son's name in vain, didn't? as his mom i really should refer to someone jackin' me around. i take it back.

in other news... the house is coming along nicely. we signed a contract tonight to have our basement finished off and that will give us approx. 800-900 more square feet of liveable space that the boys can play in, and mike and i each will have our own 'space'- a drum studio for mike, an art studio for me. i can't wait. it'll be awesome.

2 of mike's former students found out we live in their neighborhood and dropped by some brownies and some banana bread for us tonight. it was very sweet.

i've almost finished painting the bathrooms! yay! i would have finished today if i wouldn't have run out of paint.. but i'll finish tomorrow afternoon. so far they all look good. we're going to pay someone to do the kitchen and the rest of the house will slowly be done by me, eventually. probably the next room will be the baby's room and jack's room. the flat paint that is on the walls now will not fare long with 2 little boys around!

enough rambling... i think i finally hear jack drifting off to sleep so i can safely go about my other jobs for the evening... finally finishing putting away clothes, and planning out some meals for the next couple weeks since school schedule will be in full swing very very soon!
