It's almost Sept.?
What the?? Where did August go?
Oh wait. I was INSIDE for most of August. Either was stinkin hot or stinking raining, or more often, both. August just really kind of stunk! We were out of ideas of stuff to do, not to mention out of money and school was starting to get in gear... so all of that made for kind of a poopy August.
Oh well. We'll welcome September with open arms. Open, non-sweating, arms that is. Open, not wet and dirty arms! Yeah.
Charlie and Jack made great transitions back to Nancy's and Jack started preschool two days a week and is doing really well with that. A little trouble with sleeping, but overall adjustment is/was going really well.
Mike and I are going to meet up with some friends at Last Fling this weekend and see Cheap Trick on Sunday night... we're going to take the kids to the Fling on Saturday- Charlie is registered to participate in the Diaper Derby! That should be fun for all of us to watch!
I just finished reading Perfect Match by Jodi Picoult. I always really like her books but seem disappointed by the end. I think I like more a twist at the end... but then picked up this book and it's great! I Was a Great Mom Before I Had Kids is a nice look at modern motherhood and an honest discussion about what it's really like... cause let's face it. Hollywood overdramatizes it just a bit much. Most days I look pretty ragged by the end of the day! :)
and on that note... i'm off to bed!

Thanks for the book recommendation. I’m going to put it on my ‘books to get from library list’. What is the diaper derby. It sounds cute. I’m jealous you get to see Cheap Trick!!
