halloweenies
we went trick or treating at safety town last weekend.
this weekend is our annual neighborhood children's party.
wednesday is halloween.
we are getting our money's worth out of these costumes!
what a week. we are in the mad search for new day care (long story), so that on top of the book fair at school, interviewing for day care (and we didn't find any!), and the other typical stuff going on here, boy am i glad it's friday. i have no idea how i squeeze this in, but i did make a cake for a co-worker this week. fun, but i was really not in the mood.
i made these cupcakes last weekend for a fall party. jack LOVED these.
my new favorite thing to do for him is to take a cake mix, pour in a can of soda and create what is, in my opinion, a reallllly close rendition of an eggless/nutless cake. so cool.
next weekend i get to go to the islma (Illinois School Library/Media) conference! i know, it sounds crazy to be excited about hanging out with a bunch of school librarians for a weekend, but i am going with my good friend geri, who i rarely get to see, let alone get over 24 hours of uninterrupted girl talk with. we usually have one or more kiddos we're wrangling with. i'm so excited. it should be a good time.

Ooo...I made the blog. Can't wait to hang with those party animals at ISLMA. We librarians know how to have a good time. Get those buns and denim jumpers with book appliques ready, ladies!! :o)
