proud mama post

so tonight was jack's spring program (which we have all on video, for another upload, another time- it's late and i'm tired!)... jacks did his usual hammy stuff, like when he received his "diploma" for "graduating" from preschool, he did a little boogie dance and everyone laughed. they did the pledge of allegiance and sang some patriotic songs, some spring songs about bumblebees and sticky spidrs, and the grand finale was Take Me Out to the Ballgame and Go Cubs Go!... Ms. Lindsay and Mrs. Jen, his teachers, are huge cubs fans, which had turned jack into a cubs fan too. ms. lindsay was an excellent teacher for jack. so patient and taught him so much this year. he talks very favorably of her. so cute. here he is with ms. lindsay, his diploma, and the baseball "necklace" that he drew and cut himself.

in addition to his diploma, songs and snacks, we got jack's portfolio. it was so fun to see how much he had learned over the year. i especially loved his fall/spring assessment where you can tell how he barely could make letters, and now he can write his name, same with colors and letter knowledge. i also thought the pictures he drew of himself and his family were great!

You have so much to be proud of. Jack is growing into such an independent, smart boy. It's amazing how much they learn! Thanks for sharing.
