officially suburbia.

i have never lived in the city (though always wanted to) and didn't really understand what all the fuss was about when people put down living in surburbia, specifically 'naperthrill'... i like it here. i like what is has to offer, but i really never felt like a "suburban mom"... just a transplant to here, i guess. and that was fine.

but since jack has been in preschool i've felt more and more like that typical suburban mom... arranging playdates, signing up for sing along classes, going to preschool, etc.

now i've reached a whole new level. suburban soccer mom. i am not sure how i feel about that, but i'm sure i'll be there with my camera.

he doesn't start until fall (jack) but is so excited to be on a soccer team. he'll have one practice a week and one game a weekend. i hear football practices/games are more like 3-4 times a week, so i guess i should feel lucky. he's going to play subdivision soccer, which is a friendly co-ed team, with his friend Matthew from school.

charles, on the other hand, is doing his own growing up by becoming more and more easy to understand... "TA!" for Thomas... "IWA BA" for I want my bottle (which is really a sippy cup)... YA! for yes, NOOO (clear as a bell...) for no... and says some other unintelligible things, but sounds like the same unintelligible thing for airplane, dog, jack, grandma and grandpa so you know he's trying to communicate something...

more later.
