big boy weekend.

well... it's official. charlie isn't a little baby anymore. he's actually a monkey, but that's a different post. after jumping out of a pack and play multiple times and then greeting us early this morning by not being in his crib when we went in his room, but instead sitting on his chair reading a book. yes, he's officially monkeying his way of his current sleeping arrangments, so we took apart his crib and made it in to a toddler bed. the 'guard rail', if you can call it that, is extremely flimsy and really not much in the way of keeping him in the bed. nap time went okay, but in contrast to jack, who stayed in his bed and called for us, charlie immediately appreciated his new found independence and was up out of his crib when he was done sleeping.

i guess it's a good thing...he's healthy and strong and if he wasn't he couldn't get out of that crib on his own, and it'll only be a matter of time before he's in a twin bed and getting his crib and rocking chair out of there.

we're still considering what to do about his bed-we could give jack the full from the guest room and give charlie jack's twin. we may do that, and buy a new mattress for us, since we could really use one and then put our mattress in the guest room. i'm not sure. this situation is new for us and we'll just see how it goes this week!

the boys are adjusting to our new school routine this week... jack got in a little trouble this week by lifting up the dresses on the girls at school, and charlie caused his own mischief by getting off his cot at nap time and grabbing a plastic crocodile and hitting other kids with it in order to wake them up...

hopefully it's all going to be a little calmer this week... but, i'm not hopeful :)

and an update on the disgusting sippy cup full of solid milk? mike took my car to turtle wax and got the inside and outside cleaned and it smells fresh again... yeah!
