the tree is down!
the decorations are packed away!
the christmas decorations have been gone through and weeded and repacked for next year!
i may seem like scrooge, but i was ready to be done with the tree. i loved our prelit tree this year, but i was craving the space, and my sanity back. i can't tell you how many times i said, "jack, don't touch, only look" only to turn my head to see him tearing ornaments off the tree and trying to hang them on the kitchen cabinets. oh well. he had fun. the tree looked pretty haphazard by christmas after replacing ornaments and garland he'd torn off like it was toilet paper.... but that's what christmas is all about, right? esp. with a 21 month old.
so we now have, in place of the tree, a large aquadoodle mat for jack to doodle on. he loves it!

really, i've started taking things down and will finish tomorrow. i'd love to have my living room back, too!
I want my tree down too. I think it is a normal feeling after the uproar is over!

I know what you mean. Once Christmas is over, I like to take the tree down too. Joey was counting the lights this year. It was so cute. I bet Jack will be better next year about it.
