new month, good times

so i flip the calendar today and realize, holy crap, june is really here! the weather proved it too- soooo nice this weekend. we were outside this weekend, playing and swimming. such fun.

-school ends this week. yay!
-r.e.m. show is this week. yay!
-the new siding on our house will be finished this week. yay! (pics to post soon)
-i saved the money i made decorating cakes for people and bought my new camera, which arrived on friday, so i've been playing with it! yay! (pics to post soon. they rock!)
-next wed. i will officially be done thinking about national boards- i take my assessment (yay! i should be studying now, instead of wasting time on facebook and myspace and this blog)
-less than a month until we go to maine! (yay! and holy crap, less than a month!)
- rectified (maybe?) the ongoing morning battle of in what to clothe jack. i just took him shopping myself and let him pick out what he wouldn't give me a fight about wearing (is he a teenager already?). this included a fukedome shirt, a shirt with guitars on it, and a shirt that says "mr. silly"... he has style, no? sheesh. and we can't wear denim shorts, only basketball shorts, with all of these shirts. we couldn't find the "ninjon tortles" one he so desperately wanted. apparantly target doesn't stock them.

i am so looking forward to the 3 days and 1 hour (but who's counting?) we have left this year, to start summer and move forward. looking forward to a fun summer of tans, sports, travel, reading, sand (though it sounds fun, shhh. i really hate sand), family and friends...
